Nikon F to C-Mount Adapter
Adapts a Nikon F-mount lens onto a C-mount camera body. A built-in block turns the lever that opens the lens aperture fully when you twist the lens into place, and the backfocus ring needs to be adjusted carefully — the designer got an 18-70mm lens focusing from 30cm to infinity once properly set. Print in a filament that blocks light completely, ideally black; a red prototype let a reddish tint leak into photos. A 1/4" nut lets you mount the adapter itself to a tripod.
What you'll need
- 3D printer
- Nikon F-mount lens
- C-mount camera (e.g. Raspberry Pi HQ Camera)
- Black filament
- 1/4" nut (optional, for tripod mounting)
Suggested material: PLA, black or another fully opaque color. Use a filament that blocks light completely — light leaking through the walls will tint photos. Printed with 20% infill and support touching the build plate only.
