OpenCameraLab

Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 26, 2026

The short version

OpenCameraLab itself doesn't set any cookies to track you. We show ads through Google AdSense to help keep the site free, and Google sets its own cookies for that purpose. You choose whether to allow those cookies the first time you visit, and you can change your mind at any time on this page.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files a website can ask your browser to store, so the site (or a service it uses) can recognize your browser later. They're used for things like remembering a setting, keeping you signed in, or, in advertising's case, measuring and personalizing the ads you see.

Cookies we use directly

None. Calculator inputs and other preferences on this site are saved with your browser's local storage, not cookies, and that data never leaves your device. Your consent choice on this page is also saved this way.

Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)

If you accept advertising cookies, Google may set cookies through AdSense to serve ads, measure their performance, and limit how many times you see the same one. Depending on your settings with Google, this can include cookies such as:

  • __gads / __gpi: used to measure ad interactions and limit repeated ads.
  • IDE: set by Google's ad service (doubleclick.net) to record and report a user's actions after seeing or clicking an ad, for measurement and personalization.
  • test_cookie: a short-lived cookie used to check whether your browser supports cookies at all.

These cookies are set by Google, not by us, and are covered by Google's own policy on how it uses data from sites that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy.

If you reject advertising cookies

You'll still see the site normally. Ads may still appear, but without the cookies used for measurement and personalization, so they won't be tailored to you.

Other ways to control cookies

Beyond the choice above, you can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings, and you can manage or opt out of personalized advertising directly through Google's Ads Settings.

Changes to this policy

If the cookies or services we use change, this page will be updated to reflect that, and the date above will change.
