Privacy Policy

The short version

OpenCameraLab doesn't have user accounts and doesn't sell your personal data to anyone. We do show ads through Google AdSense to help keep the site free, which means Google may set cookies and use browsing data to serve and measure those ads, only if you've accepted advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for the details and to change your choice at any time. There's no form on this site that collects your information, if you want to get in touch, you send us an email, and that's between you and your email provider.

What we collect directly

The site itself doesn't collect or store any personal data on a server. Calculator inputs and other preferences are saved in your browser's local storage and never leave your device. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs basic technical information for every request, such as IP address, browser type, and page requested, for security and reliability purposes. We don't use this logging data for tracking or advertising.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to show ads on this site. If you accept advertising cookies, Google may use cookies and similar technology to serve ads, measure how they perform, and personalize them based on your visits here and other sites. If you reject or haven't made a choice yet, ads served to you won't use those cookies for personalization.

You control this choice on our Cookie Policy page, and you can separately manage how Google personalizes ads across the web in Google's Ads Settings. Google's own use of this data is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.

Cookies

We don't set cookies of our own. The only cookies possible on this site come from Google AdSense, and only once you've accepted them. See our Cookie Policy for a full breakdown.

Email

If you email us at hello@opencameralab.com, we'll use your email address and whatever you share with us only to respond to you. We won't add you to a mailing list or share it with third parties.

As the project grows and adds things like accounts or analytics, this page will be updated to reflect that, and the date above will change.
