Lens Filter Case (52mm)
A two-piece filter case that closes around a filter using small magnets as both the hinge and the latch, so there's no separate hardware to fit. The original design is parametric — this file is compiled at the common 52mm filter diameter (52.3mm opening, 5.2mm deep); grab the source .scad from the original Thingiverse page if you need a different size. Print two of this file to make a complete case.
What you'll need
- 3D printer
- 52mm filter
- 2x 4mm diameter x 2mm magnets
Suggested material: PLA or similar. Print two copies of the tray. Glue a magnet into each of the four hinge points before joining the halves.
