Parametric Arca-Swiss Quick-Release Plate
A set of Arca-Swiss compatible quick-release plates generated from a parametric OpenSCAD design, in four ready-made sizes: a 30mm single vertical slit, a 50mm single slit (3/8" thread), a 100mm double-slit plate with a center hole, and a 150mm long "cheese" plate with multiple mounting holes. The source file is on the original Thingiverse page if you want to generate a custom size.
What you'll need
- 3D printer
- Arca-Swiss compatible tripod head or clamp
Suggested material: PLA or similar rigid filament. Print rigid — these plates carry the full weight of the camera when clamped.

Before you print this
- The threads and standards holding your camera togetherPhotography runs on about six standards, two of which are imperial threads from the nineteenth century and one of which is not really a standard at all.
- Choosing filament for camera gearPLA is the default for good reasons and the wrong answer for about a third of the parts on this site. Here is how to tell which third.
