52mm lens cap on a table

52mm Lens Cap

A 52mm lens cap assembled entirely by pressure and friction — no glue, bolts, or special tools needed. Check that the underside of the cap doesn't scratch your lens before use; gluing a small piece of cloth to the inside face is a safe precaution if you're not sure.

What you'll need

  • 3D printer
  • 52mm lens (or a lens that takes a 52mm cap)
  • Small piece of cloth (optional, to protect the lens glass)
Suggested material: PLA or similar. No glue or hardware needed — the three parts hold together and grip the lens by friction alone.
